About the yard
Wimbledon Village Stables is a riding centre and livery yard in the village, with Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park on the doorstep. The yard has two schooling rings on the Common, one with a set of jumps.
Standard livery is the more affordable option. Horses get all feed and bedding, daily grooming, tack cleaning, rug changing and exercise. Standard horses can be ridden by the yard's members too, under supervision. Bespoke livery is for owners who want the horse ridden only by themselves and the instructors, with a programme built around their goals, and suits horses aimed at competition.
Both kinds include one-hour group lessons or accompanied hacks each day, free of charge with BHS-qualified instructors. Owners pay for insurance, vet and farrier fees, dentist, saddlery, rug cleaning, supplements, clipping, private lessons and transport. The yard does not publish livery prices on its site.
Turnout
The yard doesn't say. Ask about winter turnout before you visit: it's the thing most owners want to know.
