About Livery Guide
Livery Guide lists livery yards with the facts owners compare when they move a horse: what kinds of livery a yard offers, what it charges, what the price includes, whether horses go out in winter, the arena and its lights, and the hacking.
Why it exists
There's no register of livery yards. Livery isn't a licensed activity in its own right, and most yards appear on no public list. The facts sit on yard websites, Facebook pages and noticeboards, and nobody brings the prices together. So we do.
Where the facts come from
Each yard is researched from its own website or public page, and every fact is kept with the address it came from. Prices are checked automatically against the yard's own pages. Unknown stays unknown: if a yard doesn't say whether hay is included, we show a dash rather than guess. Each page shows the date we last checked it.
Bridleway distances are measured from OpenStreetMap, and county boundaries come from the Office for National Statistics and Ordnance Survey.
Free for yards
Yards don't pay to be listed and can't pay to change what we say. If you run a yard, you can update your listing at any time.
So far we list 689 yards, most recently checked on 21 October 2026. We started with the BHS approved yards and the south of England, and are adding more across the UK.
