About the yard
Whincover Farm is a small, family-run DIY livery yard in countryside near Manvers, outside Wath upon Dearne in Rotherham. The yard is on a working farm that is mainly arable.
Each yard has a secure tack room and kitchen area, and there is a communal toilet. There is secure parking for horseboxes and trailers. The 40 by 20 menage is fully drained with a sand and chopped-tyre surface and six floodlights, so owners can ride until 10pm when needed. There are also lightweight jumps for use in the menage.
Horses are kept in small mares and geldings groups on three fenced fields with post and rail and electric fencing. The website says horses are out 24 hours a day in summer.
