About the yard
Ovenstone Equine is a livery yard on a farm at Ovenstone, just outside Anstruther on the East Neuk coast of Fife. The owners live on site and the yard is BHS approved. The website names holiday livery and full packages, but does not publish prices.
Stables are American barn style in old pan-tiled farm buildings, with hardwood walls, rubber matting and hay racks. The horses have all-year turnout on grass, with electric fencing to sub-divide the groups for strip grazing. There is a solarium, a hot or cold shower and secure tack lockers.
The indoor arena is 40 by 20 metres with mirrors on one end and a fibre and sand surface. The outdoor arena is an all-weather 70 by 30 metres. The yard also has a cross-country training field, a round pen, a 20-metre lunging pen and tracks around the farm that lead to Balcaskie Estate.
