About the yard
Oneway is a recreational DIY yard at Hambrook, near Winterbourne north of Bristol. The yard is run by owners who live on site, with part-time staff who offer assisted livery on weekday mornings.
Horses are kept in small same-sex herds with separate winter and summer pasture, and the yard says they go out all year. In normal winters they have pasture daily; in the extreme winter of 2014 the yard allowed around five days a week.
The arena is 40 by 20 metres of silica sand and fibre, floodlit, with a lunge area, a grass jump area and a cross-country schooling area. CCTV covers the arena and yard. There is a waiting list, and prospective liveries visit for an informal interview.
