About the yard
Miles Equestrian is the training business of Alec Miles, based at Hall Lands Stables in Fair Oak near Eastleigh. The livery is built around the training: most packages include ridden work by Alec or the yard's team, and horses are kept on a daily routine of turnout, mucking out and feeding.
There are five livery packages: full livery with exercise, full livery without exercise, breaking, schooling and competition livery. Full livery covers daily turnout, mucking out, hay, basic feed, rug changes and appointment handling. Shavings and straw are charged on top of the package, and optional exercise is charged separately on the package without it.
Stables are double aspect, rubber matted and fitted with automatic water drinkers. Turnout is individual and year round, and the fields are poo-picked every day. There is a 30 by 60 metre outdoor menage with jumps that is floodlit, a horse walker, a secure alarmed tack room, a wash bay, and direct access to bridleways from the yard.
