About the yard
Caplor Equine is the livery business on Caplor Farm, a family farm near Fownhope in the Wye Valley that has been run by the same family since 1923. It takes around 35 horses and ponies.
Retirement livery is a herd system on the farm's 160 acres of grassland, with horses turned out 24 hours a day weather permitting and moved into custom barns in very cold or wet weather. Assisted livery means staff look after the horse five days a week, and DIY livery means the owner cares for it, with stables available.
