About the yard

Blackfaulds is a DIY livery yard on a farm just outside Alloa. Owners look after their own horses, muck out, groom and ride, and the family who run the yard live on the farm and keep an eye on things. The yard also takes grazing-only horses.

A DIY place includes a stable, grazing, hay or haylage as much as the horse needs, all-year turnout and use of the floodlit arena. The stables have automatic water drinkers and feed troughs, and there are security-coded tack rooms. Prices are not on the website, so you will need to phone for the current figures.

The off-road riding is a selling point: woodland and country tracks start at the gate, and Gartmorn Dam Country Park is close by. The yard has 24-hour CCTV and says it is British Horse Society approved.
